About Me

About Me

I started my professional life as a Secondary School music teacher, a career I pursued for 16 years before leaving to concentrate on my family. I studied at Listening Post in Gloucester for 3 years and gained a CPCAB Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling. My earliest experience of being a counsellor was gained during a placement at the Well Counselling in Malvern. I still work there 1 day a week, as a counsellor and assessor, alongside my private practice.

Occasionally I get the opportunity to use my teaching skills in a counselling context. I have developed and taught Listening Skills courses at The Well and Listening Post.

I also have experience of being a client. I have personally found it helpful to receive counselling at various times in my life.

I am an accredited member of the BACP and a registered member of the ACC. I adhere to their Ethical Frameworks.
